Old Mr. Boston De Luxe Official Bartender’s Guide First edition, Fourth Printing (Revised) with Cameo Binding: Rare copy of Old Mr. Boston with the full color cameo-style picture of the Old Mr. Boston (notice the laurel wreath surrounding the portrait) inset, cameo-style, on the cover. Only this 1940 edition and the 1941 edition have this cameo binding. In 1942 the company returned to the standard embossed cover. . Oh, yes, and the illustrations are pink instead of orange, and the end papers have a romantic drawing of a moon-lit lake, glassware, and stars, labeled “Wherein are solved the mysteries of mixed drinks.”

Hard boards covered with pebbled, faux leather. 160 pages. Corners are bumped and worn, as are the top and base of spine cover. Two facing pages have a spot. Binding is loose, but holding well. Back hinge is exposed, but holding. Excellent vintage condition for a book that was obviously used.
