The complete title is: The New Cookery Book: A Complete Manual of English and Foreign Cookery on Sound Principles of Taste and Science Comprehending Carefully Tried Receipts for Every Branch of the Art. Written by Anne Bowman and published by George Routledge and Sons, Limited, Manchester and New York. This copy is from the tenth edition, published in the 1870s. 635 pages, plus five pages of advertising. Has a very detailed index, including a separate index of dishes especially useful for Lent. The front hinge is exposed but holding. The spine cover is worn at the base. The binding is completely solid. All the pages are clean and clear.
