Legend of Liqueurs, Wines and Spirits, 1935, 1961: What to Serve; When to Serve It; How to Serve It. Mint Condition! Small (about 3 1/2″ wide by 5 1/2″ high) booklet with 229 pages. Except for some very minor darkening of the pages at the margins, this book is in mint condition. Plastic comb binding is perfect. Pages are completely clean and clear. With the exception of the first owner’s name printed on the cover, the white plastic cover is perfect. Book published by Ginrum Alpha Company, Sulpher Springs, Arkansas. This copy is from the fifth edition, 1961 printing.

Very comprehensive–even though very small at about 3 1/2″ wide by about 5″ high–booklet with 229 pages. Part I. has a list of all known liquors and wines with a one-paragraph definition of each. It also has a lengthy list of cocktail recipes. Part II or “Cooking Recipes” has recipes for things like minced meat pie and sweet potatoes in wine. This section also has a long list of wines with brief descriptions. That owner’s name is also printed on the textured black box the book came in. The box has one flaw, a scrap along the bottom of the box. It is printed with another title, The Art of Mixing Drinks. Who know why?
