Description

Joy of Cooking, 1964, Cookbook and Dust Jacket in Pristine Condition. First Edition, Later Printing.  This is the 1964 edition of the then-one volume Joy of Cooking by Irma S. Rombauer and Marion Rombauer Becker.   Published by Bobbs-Merrill Company, Inc., Indianapolis, Indiana.  Hard cover book with 848 pages.  The duct jacket as two or three tiny (less than 1/8″) dings, and some light general stains, especially at the edges.  The book is absolutely perfect.  Cover is perfect, hinges are perfect, binding is tight.  Pages are absolutely untouched.  Even the red ribbon is here and still tucked into the book to be kept clean.  I don’t know where this book has been for 56 years, but it wasn’t in anyone’s kitchen.  What a gift this would be!

First edition, later printing.
