Description
Joy of Cooking, 1946: We found a 1946 Joy of Cooking in excellent vintage condition, still with its dust jacket. Subtitle is: a Compilation of Reliable Recipes with an Occasional Culinary Chat! By Irma S. Rombauer, with illustrations by her daughter, Marion Rombauer Becker. Published by The Bobbs-Merrill Company, Indianapolis. Hard cover, 884 pages. The dust jacket has issues, but it is now safely encased in Mylar. The cookbook itself–cover, binding, hinges–is excellent. Front hinge is exposed, but is holding and has been reinforced with clear librarian’s tape. Pages aren’t even tanned. They are completely clean and clear. Definitely gift quality!
