Description

Good Housekeeping Woman’s Home Cook Book, 1909, 1910.  True first edition, second printing.  Cookbook compiled by Isabel Gordon Curtis, associate editor of Good Housekeeping, and published by Reilly & Britton Co.,  Chicago.  Hardcover cookbook that’s tall and narrow.  320 pages.  Interesting layout, with every other page being blank for new recipes.

This cookbook is in remarkable antique condition.  There’s minor shelf wear on the corners, the base of the spine cover has some tiny tears, and the border of the spine cover has been reinforced with clear librarian’s tape.  is torn.  The hinges are solid, as is the binding.  Every page is clear and clean.  The top quarter of the flyleaf is  torn off, probably to tear off a signature.  This cookbook was never used.  (Good Housekeepng did a reprint, and there are lots of copies available.)
