George the Housewife and How to Diet and Never Be Hungry, by George Leonard Herter and Berthe D. Herter. Written by George Herter. First published in 1964, with dark blue boards. Stated first edition. Published in Waseca, Minnesota, by Herter’s, Inc. Practical household hints, random recipes, fashion advice, and more from the man who brought you the Herter’s catalog of sporting goods and hunting supplies. (My father would pour over the Herter’s catalog for hours.) Herter also wrote and self-published Bull Cook and Authentic Historical Recipes and Practices.
This stated first edition is in near-mint condition. Definitely gift quality. The cover shows some very mint self-wear. Pages, binding, etc. are pristine.
