Favorite Recipes Compiled by American Association of University Women, Bakersfield Branch, 1971: The AAUW women of Bakersfield (we assume California) must have been something! This is an amazingly comprehensive cookbook. They have lengthy chapters on appetizers, beverages, blender foods, breads and sandwiches, cakes and icings, candy, casseroles, cheese and eggs, cookies, desserts, fish and sea food, freezer foods, international foods, jams, jellies and preserves, meats, pastries, pickles and relishes, poultry, salads, sauces and dressings, soups and vegetables. They also include a chapter called “male ego,” with recipes submitted by their male friends.
This is an oversized cookbook with card stock cover and plastic comb binding. it has about 500 pages–all absolutely clean and clear. Binding is sound. Cover has a tiny bit of shelf wear. Nearly mint condition. It seems that this copy is the only copy available on the Internet.
