Fashions in Foods in Beverly Hills: Cookbook compiled by the Book Section, Beverly Hills Woman’s Club, Beverly Hills, California. Humorous foreword by Will Rogers. This copy is from the 1931 third edition. I think the 1929 printing must have been a small run, and the 1930 and ’31 runs were much larger. Printed in Beverly Hills by the Beverly Hills Citizen.

A compilation of recipes from Beverly Hills residents, the famous and not-so-famous. Douglas Fairbanks’ recipe for pie crust. Recipes from famous places and faces: Buster Keaton’s Chop Suey, Rob Wagner’s Corned Beef Hash, Will Rogers’s Chili and Beans, Joan Crawford’s Salad, Jackie Cooper’s Peanut Brittle, Carole Lombard’s soups, plus lots of local and national advertisementa from places like The Beverly Hills Hotel.

Hard cover with great art deco decoration by Vivian V. Robeson. The cover is lightly embossed to emphasize the lines of the design. 239 pages. Book is in excellent vintage condition. Binding is tight. Pages are clean and clear. Hinges are in excellent condition.
