Description

Cricket Tea Room Cook Book: Quite rare! Cookbook from the Cricket Tea Room in Tampa, Florida. Written by Tona W. Perry and Pearl Hall Bond, of the Tea Room, and self-published. The first edition was published in 1938. This copy is from the eleventh edition. 115 pages. No date.  Yellow card stock cover.  Nearly mint condition.   Tea room cookbooks are all the rage right now, you know. Cover has quite a bit of shelf wear and is discolored at the edge.  Binding is firm.  Pages are all completely clean and clear.  No spots or tears.

Perry and Bond prefaced their cookbook by saying, “‘The turnpike road to people’s hearts, I find, lies through their mouths, or I mistake mankind.’ So with this thought in mind, dear friends, we are passing along to you some of the Cricket’s choice recipes–recipes from the heart of the South.”
