Description

Court of Two Sisters Cookbook: With History of the French Quarter and the Restaurant, Mel Leavitt, 1992, 2001:  Cookbook about New Orleans’ restaurant Court of Two Sisters, a restaurant literally named after the courtyard owned by two sisters, Emma Camors Musso (1858-1944) and Betha Camors Angaud Noblet (1860-1944.)   Hard cover cookbook with dust jacket.  192 pages.   Both dust jacket and book are in as-if-new condition.  Published in 1992 by Pelican Publishing Company, Gretna, Louisiana.  This copy is from the 2001 printing.

The author of this cookbook, Mel Leavitt, a journalist and an historian, is known as New Orleans’ “unofficial historian.”  The first half of his book is a history of the city, the restaurant, the foods, and the sisters.  The second half is recipes!  Again, as-if-new condition!
