This cookbook has a great chapter called “For the Storecupboard,” with recipes and instructions for making jam, jelly, marmalade, and pickled fruits. It has another great chapter called “Festive Foods” with holiday menus and recipes. Other chapters have some of the very best of old recipes from England Ireland, Scotland, and Wales, including traditional recipes for puddings and cakes, syllabubs, and steamed puddings.
