Cooking with Magic, 1952

Cooking with Magic: Difficult-to-find cookbook by Lois Lintner Sumption and Marguerite Lintner Ashbrook, published in 1952 by Chas. A. Bennett Co., Inc., Publishers, Peoria, Illinois. Hard cover with dust jacket, 192 pages. First edition, first printing.  As the cover says, “Delicious, ‘Out of this World’ Recipes, Made with that Extra, ‘Magic’ Ingredient — Sour Milk, Cream, or Buttermilk.” Includes many international recipes.

Book is in as-if-new condition. It has clearly been never been used as a cookbook. The dust jacket has many dings and small tears, but it is still in excellent vintage condition.  Very few copies in circulation, probably because it was published by a smaller publisher.
