Cocktail and Wine Digest, 1943, 1976: This paperback has MANY titles. On the cover, it says, “Cocktail and Wine Digest: Barmen’s Bible: Beverage Encyclopedia & Guide for Home & Bar. Inside the book, the title page says, “International Cocktail – Wine and Spirits Digest, Inc. International Beverage Encyclopedia.” First published in 1943, this edition is from the 1976 printing. It was written and published by the author, Oscar Haimo, president of the International Bar Manager’s Association. Haimo also wrote the little poems and sayings in the book, as well as drawing the illustrations. Besides the standard cocktail recipes, the book has other interesting features like a Zodiac of wine and liquor, a list of toasts in many languages, a glossary, and more. 144 pages. 4 3/4″ wide by 6 1/4″ high. Near mint condition. All pages clean and clear, and uniformly tanned.  Binding is firm.  Spine cover is slightly worn near the bottom.  It has been reinforced with clear librarian’s tape.
