Calorie Cook Book: A menu-rich cookbook by Mary Dickerson Donahey, first published in 1923 by The Reilly & Lee Co., Chicago. “Menus for Reducing–for Upbuilding–for Maintenance.” This is an admittedly impertinent cookbook, with features like “A Foreward for the Fat.” It has menus for “reducing” specific to the seasons, as well as season-specific menus for “upbuilding” and “normal” people. First edition, presumed first printing. Hard cover with linen-covered boards. 250 pages. Some shelf wear on cover. Pages are evenly tanned. All pages are clean and crisp. Binding is sound.
