Book of Desserts, 1903, Mrs. W. H. Wilson, Recipes of Merit Compiled in Handy Form for Quick Reference, First Edition, First Printing:  Cookbook by Mrs. W. H. Wilson just for desserts!  Luscious  cakes ranging from white cake to “A Good Chocolate Cake, called Maude S,” fillings for cake, tea cakes and cookies, pecan kisses, icing for cake, “A Nice Dessert,” and grape juice.

Hinges are perfect. self-published in Nashville, Tenn. in 1903 by Press of Foster & Webb, Printers, Stationers, Copperplate and Photo Engravers. First edition, first printing, no other being mentioned. Board covers are covered with coarsely woven green linen. The cover has white splotches and the normal shelf wear. Some edges of pages were awkwardly folded. The book is in excellent antique condition, with many extra clean pages at the back and advertisements from local Nashville businesses. One thin errata slip was pasted in before page 13. Three-quarters of a pound of butter would make a difference in a pound cake.
