Good Housekeeping Cook Book, 1949: The Good Housekeeping Cook Book, edited by Dorothy B. Marsh. 1949 printing. Published by Rhinehart & Company, Inc. Hard cover without dust jacket. 1014 pages. This copy is in good vintage condition. The cover has some shelf wear. The two roast chicken pages have a dark stain about the size of a thumb print on the lower right and left corners. There’s a notation about making sour milk on the front fly leaf.
However, the binding is completely solid. The hinges are in excellent shape. And, other than those chicken pages, the pages are all clean and clear. This is a cookbook ready to be used!
