This is one of those great old cookbooks that uses measurements like “a piece of butter the size of an egg” and “one-third of a teacup of water.” All of the contributors are listed, and every recipe has its cook’s name. This copy was obviously much used and treasured by some family. Several pages have spots. The front hinge is exposed, but holding. The cover has been very carefully covered with oilcloth.
