Yes, we have the cookbook.  See it here:  https://vintagecookbook.com/product/new-orleans-carnival-cook-book-1951-womens-republican-club-of-louisiana/

New Orleans Carnival Cook Book, 1951, Women’s Republican Club of Louisiana:  119 page cookbook with amazing New Orleans recipes.  Compiled by Mrs. Roy Allen, Mrs. John E. Hurley, Mrs. James McKillips, Miss Elise Meyer, and Mrs. John Minor Wisdom.  Cardboard cover and glued binding.  Great, classic illustration for the cover, but there’s no artist’s name.  Several pages of local advertising are interspersed with the recipe pages.  Cover and pages all have general shelf wear around the edges, general roughness and worn spots.  Other than that, the cookbook is in solid vintage condition.

The chapter names follow the progress of the Mardi Gras parade, with names like “From King’s Cake to Hot Cross Buns,” “The Grand Duke and Rex,” “Parade’s Coming,” and “Dining in State.”  The recipes are classic New Orleans, like shrimp remoulade, crab-meat timbale, and oysters creole.   The dessert recipes, like Batons des Noisettes, are to die for.  Don’t read this cookbook if you are hungry.
