Treasured Armenian Recipes, 1949, Detroit Women’s Chapter, Armenian General Benevolent Union:  Cookbook compiled and published by the  Detroit Women’s Chapter, Armenian General Benevolent Union, New York, New York.  It was published not just as a fund raiser, but also as a way to preserve Armenian heritage for young people in America.  Cookbook has very hard cardboard boards covered with paper.  126 pages.  Recipes are labeled with their Armenian titles only, but their American names are included in the table of contents.  There is also a glossary of basic words used in the cookbook.  The recipes include appetizers, soups, fish, fowl, meats, eggplants, vegetables, pilafs, macaroni and noodles, bread-katah-cheoreg-coffee cake, and desserts.  The cover of this cookbook has a lot of shelf wear and spotting.  But, happily, most of the pages are absolutely clean and clear.  A very few pages have spots.  Spiral plastic binding is in perfect condition.
