Good Dressing for Fruit Salad from Cricket Cook Book

Good Dressing for Fruit Salad from Cricket Cook Book: The Cricket Cook Book, perhaps because it is a tea room cookbook, is a particularly good source for salad dressing recipes. Here’s one called “A Good
Dressing (for Fruit Salads.)”

Good Dressing for Fruit Salad from Cricket Cook Book, 1938, 1968, Tampa, Florida

Cricket Tea Room Cook Book: Quite rare! Cookbook from the Cricket Tea Room in Tampa, Florida. Written by Tona W. Perry and Pearl Hall Bond, of the Tea Room, and self-published. The first edition was published in 1938. This copy is from the eleventh edition, printed in 1968. 115 pages.  Gold card stock cover.  Nearly mint condition.   Tea room cookbooks are all the rage right now, you know. Cover has very minor shelf wear.  Binding is firm.  Pages are all completely clean and clear.  No spots or tears.

Perry and Bond prefaced their cookbook by saying, “‘The turnpike road to people’s hearts, I find, lies through their mouths, or I mistake mankind.’ So with this thought in mind, dear friends, we are passing along to you some of the Cricket’s choice recipes–recipes from the heart of the South.”
