Gentleman’s Companion Cooking Turkey: The Gentleman’s Companion by Charles H. Baker, Jr. was published in limited edition in 1939 by the Derrydale Press, Inc. A second edition was published in 1946 by Crown Publishers. It has two volumes, Volume I “Being an Exotic Cookery Book Or, Around the World with Knife Fork and Spoon.” Volume II is subtitled “Being an Exotic Drinking Book Or, Around the World with with Jigger, Beaker and Flask.” Both volumes are extremely idiosyncratic and clever.
